The frame is created using Shou Sugi Ban, also known as Yakisugia, A Japanese wood scorching technique that involves charring the wood to protect it then sealing the surface with oil. This creates a durable, aesthetically pleasing finish. The frame is handcrafted using Canadian Pine with measurements to fit A2 originals and prints allowing a 4cm border for the Pass Partout.
The individual nature of this product can cause pattern variance due to the live wood grain. We will email an image of your exact frame for approval prior to shipping
