The frame is created using Shou Sugi Ban, also known as Yakisugia, A Japanese wood scorching technique that involves charring the wood to protect it then sealing the surface with oil. This creates a durable, aesthetically pleasing finish. The frame is handcrafted using Canadian Pine with measurements to fit A2 originals and prints allowing a 4cm border for the Pass Partout.
